Nepal Academy of Tourism and Hotel Management

Nepal Academy of Tourism and Hotel Management( NATHM ) has a huge history of four decades of services in tourism and hotel management education. It has been playing significant role in developing human manpower and increasing the quality in tourism and hospitality services. It is located at Ravi bhawan, Kalimati, Kathmandu, Nepal.

The BHM program at NATHM has been designed to develop the students aptitude and knowledge required to enter the hotel and hospitality industry. Furthermore, The BHM program at NATHM is affiliated with Tribhuvan University and is spread over a period of eight semesters in four years which consists of 126 credit hours. Likewise, upon graduation students will be able to become successful entrepreneur through small or medium size enterprise and set standards for quality of services offered to customers. Eventually, Students are encouraged to acquire basic technical and social skills required for professional career development in hotel and catering operations, so that they may advance their career in hotel and hospitality industry.

Infrastructures and Facilities

The faculties members are highly trained in the world of hospitality who are always eager to provide both practical and theoritical knowledge to the students. NATHM relies on various physical facilities along with sports facilities spread over an area of 1.5 hectares(approx.) or 29 Ropanies such as:

Training Kitchens and Bakeries along with training bar and restaurants
Multipurpose and seminar halls
Theory classrooms and advance computer labs
Multimedia system, Library, E-library, bus(coach for field visits) etc.
Basketball court, Volleyball court, Badminton Court and Table Tennis.

Eligibility criteria for BHM

Applicants must have minimum ‘D+’ grade in each subject of class 11 and 12 with the minimum CGPA 1.8 or second division in 10+2, PCL or Equivalent degree in any discipline are eligible to apply. Similarly, applicants must have studied English as a Compulsory Subject and secured 40% marks in CMAT exam conducted by Tribhuvan University.

Internship Opportunities for students

The students of BHM program are provide opportunities to go through long internship program in their final year to fulfill the requirement of the course. Internship provide significant opportunity for students to sharpen the practical skills and understand the functioning of large hotels. They get opportunity to go at world class hotels in UAE, Qatar, Germany, Malaysia, India and Nepal.
